I sent my Buick Rendezvous 2006 for diagnosis and they came up with this: We have diagnosed the 2006 Buick Rendezvous to have a faulty EGR valve and also carbon clogging the EGR passages. We would have to remove the upper intake manifold to clean out carbon and find the clog, and replace with a new EGR valve and updated connector design. Quote to repair $ 2,140.00 +tax. Took my Corvette Z06 here for a rattling noise, likely a loose panel underneath the car. I dropped it off around 9am and when I came to pick it up at 5pm they said they couldn’t figure out the problem. I paid a $170 diagnostics fee when they didn’t actually diagnose anything and they said they wanted me to bring it back so I could pay them another $170 to maybe or maybe not diagnose it. There’s a reason they call this a stealership.
