I called ahead to make sure they took VSP (even though they were listed as VSP providers). When I got there they asked me for my medical card, which isn't necessary if you are using VSP. My other VSP optometrists have never asked for my medical card. I told them that I had already seen an ophthalmologist this year and would not need any extra exams, just the vision. They informed me that they could not submit to VSP for just prescription, and that I would have to pay up front. REALLY???? I left.
