This particular Y too often close its pool, so frequently so annoying
The renovated, expanded fitness floor is just fantastic! The machines are all brand new, plentiful, great variety, and easy to use. It's also kept very clean in there. The staff is friendly and helpful too. However, the men's locker room is like taking a walk back in time 50 years. It's a very strange layout and very old. No towels, no locks, everything cheap. If you have used a LifeTime locker room, you will understand.
After many months (probably even years) of construction, the new renovated Y is a huge improvement from the old one. The weight room is immaculate and spacious. The machines are more comprehensive than before and also brand new. The weight room doesn't get too crowded except during the summer when there are lots of college and high school students. Tore out 2 dozen communal showers in the men's locker room and half the lockers to replace it with 6 bathroom stall showers (they don't even go all the way to the floor) with dingy curtains and 3 changing stalls by the lockers. And tore out the steam room inside the men's locker room. While having the nerve to call it an "upgrade."
