Installed rear drums incorrectly. Lost my hub caps and overall bad experience. Use J and J next door. Better customer service and probably better expertise. Will not use again.
The guys at Chester Trans really took good care of me. When my car started having trouble, I thought it was gonna cost an arm and a leg. These guys went the extra mile explaining that was wrong and actually showed me the parts. After everything, my bill was lower than expected. I have had mechanics in the past that tried to pad the bill and tell me to make unnecessary repairs. Not these guys. These guys were great!!
We where up in the PA area for business and our work truck starting having major issues. The closest place that we could talk with someone was Ed at Chester Transmission. He was very helpful as well made us feel he was being honest (he never stopped looking at you in the eyes while talking.) ive bin going there since 1997 I have been very happy with there work trans and general repair they are very honest.
Chester Trans. is getting a bad rap it seems,I had my vehicles there before with no problems after.The problem might be once in awhile Chester Trans. will get auto parts from Church's in Ridley,Church's buys the cheapest parts and often things are defective out of the factory.
I had to bring my car back there three times. This shop is a joke. Now they told me the warranty is over I pay over $ 2500 for nothing.
I recently had got my transmission rebuild but was still noticing problems with the gear shift and the car dragging when i go uphill. then i also got my hub bearings replaced and the guy told me my sway bars needed to be replaced. Prior to that i never noticed any issues with the sway bars. after i picked my car up i started to notice when i got on the highway my tires shook very badly which never happened before. i took the car back and now he told me my passenger tire rod needed to be replaced but never mentioned i would n... read more
Find another reputable place to service your transmission. I'll be taking my car back to Chester Transmissions for what will be my fourth visit in 14 months. Initially i took my Pontiac Grand Prix because the transmission stalled. My car wouldn't go forward or reverse. A co-worker recommended CT, so I had my car towed there. They charged me $1800 and this amount was non-negotiable. I picked my vehicle up when the repairs was done and about 5 months later I noticed that my transmission was slipping.
