Believe the bad reviews. I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant and I can confirm that even though they insist you check in early (and arrive ready to do a urine test), I have been kept waiting on average an additional 20-40 minutes for nearly every appointment. The worst time was when I was held up nearly an hour before I finally saw a practioner. This does not include having to wait to check out. I understand that this place gets a bad reputation for multiple reasons including wait times and phone issues. I have to say that Dr. Urban has delivered my last two babies and I have received nothing but excellent care from the entire staff during both pregnancies. Dr. Urban is simply the best- there is no one like her and her patient care is unmatched. My first son was born at Hopkins and the level of care I received at that hospital was horrible compared to Chesapeake/ Tidal Health. This staff is dealt very stressful and ... read more
Some of the nurses were really sweet but honestly my experience wasn’t the best. I loved centering. I was a bit small & young mother so my pregnancy was different and of course high risk. Towards the end of my pregnancy it got very painful and some days i was sent to the hospital. I tried to tell them and one doctor said they can’t do much about it and it was “normal” but they could offer another ultrasound as 36 weeks, but they never did even when I really felt like i needed one. The reception staff is absolutely horrible. I’m sorry I missed my daughter’s appointment today but rest assured I will be at the rest. She was trying to explain to the lady what happened and the receptionist kept putting her hand up and saying stop. Then told her she had no insurance (which she does) and asked her does anyone work in your household work and basically being a bully. I had a very pleasant experience here. My nurse was lovely and very thorough, and my OB Shannon was very attentive and PATIENT (something rare to come by these days) with excellent bedside manner. Definitely recommend her if you want someone you can trust. Front desk was nice too!
