I went to court about a traffic violation. The officer was on the stand and I asked him several questions. The officer ignored me and said nothing. After that the judge who was just filling in that day sentenced me but never made the officer answer any of my questions. I would have appealed it but the court systems are set up for the rich as the court fees would double. That is how they keep you from challenging the system. Very unorganized. I had asked the clerk information about appealing a case. She told me that if I appealed it I wouldn't have to pay any extra court fees. This information was not correct and I did not realize until after the case went to circuit. Now I’m stuck paying double court fees on top of a wrongful ticket. When I called about this issue the lady told me that she was sorry that they just hired new people and are still training.
