Cherry Springs is like visiting a planetarium, but it's real. The sky is so dark that you can see the Milky Way clearly, and our can even cast a visible shadow when there is snow on the ground. Be sure to bring a red flashlight.

I’ve been coming to Cherry Springs since I was a kid to the numerous star parties they have here. It’s a beautiful location out in the woods where you can see a clear night sky. As for camping, it’s such a vast, clean spot with plenty of room where you can hook up your RV or go old fashion tent camping. So if you’re a fan of the stars and camping, this is the perfect place.

So awe inspiring to watch So many stars twinkling in the very dark night sky. God is mighty! If you want you a place to do star gazing with no light pollution, this is the place to go!

Beautiful dark skies! We came all the way from Northern Virginia for our son's (a budding astronomer) birthday getaway. If you love to stargaze you must come here. It was well worth our drive. 🌌🌠
