Cherry House traces its roots back to 1969, when Shirley Whitehouse bought out a shop in LaGrange, Ky., that specialized in solid cherry reproductions. By 1972, what started as a pastime had become a passion. The cherry furniture line was expanded to include other woods that were set off beautifully by a variety of accessories and gifts that were specially handpicked by Whitehouse.
