I relocated to Greenville, NC from Danville, VA back in 2007 and looked at tons of new homes and many different builders. After viewing a Joey Cherry house, there was no doubt in my mind that I would be buying from him! After we moved in, there was a small plumbing issue in the main sewage line in yard where the landscaper broke it and covered with dirt. I called Joey and he was there in 10 minutes! I appreciate the users on this site. expressing their opinions about Cherry Construction.. As a result, I have done some additional checking and have decided to go with a different builder. Thanks to all.

Mr. Cherry builds a " fair " house. He's a little unethical, to say the least. If you get on his wrong side, don't expect any help from him. I agree with the other reviewer: once he has been paid, he is done, regardless of any problems due to his construction. Be careful. Do your homework.

We purchased a Cherry built home, against the advice of two of our neighbors. Our mistake - we will never buy another home that has anything to do with Joey Cherry or his company.

If you want to find out what kind of home Cherry Construction builds, just ask someone that has been in one of his homes for a 4 or 5 years. Ask them how much money they have had to spend to correct, fix, or replace in his "quality" built homes. Joey likes to build a house with fancy trim work to help distract the prospective buyer for how well the house is actually built. Joey is a good salesman.
