I’ve been going to Cherokee Internal Medicine (Dr. Akamatsu) for about 10 years. Even though I now live in Atlanta, I still make the drive to continue receiving care here. Dr. Akamatsu has always been extremely attentive and reassuring. After one time fainting during a blood draw, she has since always ensured that the phlebotomist comes to my room to take my blood while I lie down and offers liquids. She, and her staff, follows up promptly with test results and are very communicative. I highly recommend Dr. Akamatsu and her ... read more
