April is absolutely amazing at what she does. I loved having her as our doula! I felt so supported and loved!
April was present for the birth of our first son at Poudre Valley Hospital and we wouldn't have it any other way! We found her presence and support very calming and encouraging as first timers. She was there every step of the way, supporting both of us with laboring at home as well as in the hospital. Without her, we probably would have felt very unprepared and anxious. There’s no doula I would recommend more than April! I’ve known April for many years, so she was my first choice when looking for a doula for my first birth. I’m so glad I chose her! Even if I hadn’t known her already, she is so empathetic and kind it feels like you’ve been friends forever. April was such a blessing to have while I gave birth for the first time. She took the time to get to know us and help us envision our dream birth. In the end, things did not go as I hoped and my homebirth turned into a hospital transfer. April was so supportive of me and my decisions, helped encourage my husband, gave me confidence in the hospital, and added such a peaceful presence to our unexpected situation. We will definitely be reaching out to her when it's time for baby #2!
April did such a great job giving us helpful advice without pressuring us to make decisions one way or the other. We loved her soft and quiet presence throughout the birth as well as her ability to know when to let us just be a family. It was also just great having her as a resource outside of the busy medical staff to text or ask questions of related to nursing or just adapting to life with a baby. I highly recommend her and often tell my friends having babies about her!
