Best Care in the Area, Price reflects that I want to start by reminding people that you get what you pay for, and the general public should remember that a hysterectomy in an animal is the EXACT same procedure as that for a human. So for all you "bargain shoppers" keep that mind that a human hospital charges you $10,000 and your vet charges $200.That being said, this animal hospital was beyond excellent when it came to surgical care for my kitty. She had a spay and a declaw (which I was very nervous about). One of the techni... read more

I recommend this Animal Hospital I believe that customer service is the most important thing in any business. I believe the Chenango Animal Hospital is highly effective when it comes to front desk customer service, phone courtesy, bedside manner, and in office care before, during and after a service is rendered. In our time of need, my 15 year old Chihuahua, Charlie, was having complications breathing. He was wheezing and a few months time, didn't seem to have a lot of that spunk in his step. We sought the care of a highly r... read more

Best Vet Hospital around I have two house cats between 5-6 yrs old. I first came to this hospital for it's hours. What I found was an extended family of animal lovers that reflect a bedside manner, respect, love and compassion. I would rather spend the little bit extra to know I haven't left my pets without the best care. This hospital has delivered time and time again. The entire staff is very pleasant to talk with. They also keep their facility very clean. I wish them best of luck with their move in the Fall. I am looking ... read more

Thank you to Dr. Gaylord and staff!! I just want to thank everyone for the care that they gave to our little Mia. After leaving another vet in our town, who just wanted me to put her to sleep, you started with blood work. Even though the blood work did not show anything you were willing to keep out little girl, that had been sedated from the other office. So we left her not knowing what morning would bring...... The next morning to all of our surprise she was still alive, very alert and hungry. .She came home and is back to ... read more

A Great Place To Take Your Pet I have a house rabbit and after reading up on them understood that it would be in her best interest health-wise to get her spayed. After more research I discovered that the biggest challenge in this is finding an experienced vet that can perform the procedure without killing my rabbit as it's not something most vets will even do or know how to do since pet rabbits are considered exotics. Needless to say I was very nervous about scheduling the operation. Well, from the moment I stepped into the ... read more

Do Not Use This Vet I recently had the opportunity to visit the Chenango Animal Hospital. I was seen by Dr. Gaylord. She does not know what she is doing. I brought my 4 year old rottie to this hospital because she was having trouble with constipation. She also had a swollen neck. Blood was drawn, xrays taken. That afternoon, Dr. Gaylord called me and said that all of the blood work looked good except for the white blood cell count. Their machine was broken so she had to send the blood out. Hopefuly the results would be back ... read more

Ask what you are paying for..... After boarding my dog found out that boarding prices went up to $21.00 for large dogs. They also charge for a wellness physical before giving shots. When asked when prices went up and were customers notified. They said prices went up the first of the year and did not think anyone was notified. In this time of fiscal crisis people should be aware of what they are paying for. My mistake for not asking. Nothing wrong with the service just not being real informative about pricing and such.
