I recently, for the first time, had to use the medical facilities at Chemainus Urgent Care. Based on past experience with other health care facilities, I was apprehensive and skeptical that I would get good treatment. I was pleasantly surprised though. The staff were all compassionate, quick to see me and the Doctor was superb . He diagnosed my problem right away and sent me for tests right away. He may have saved my life that way. Everyone was very kind, caring and professional. The care was excellent.
Dr. Derek Sargent told me that all the symptoms I developed after surviving a 90km/h+ head-on collision by a drunk driver—neck pain, head and forehead swelling, reduced sensation on one side of the body, hip pain with tingling, consistent numbness in my left toe, left body cold when another is warm, and ear ringing lasting over two months—were just my imagination.
