Today was my 3rd visit to Chemainus Family Dental. My experience has been outstanding, in terms of the professionalism of the staff and Dentist. Very efficient, great communication, empathy and gentleness during my procedures. Little things, like text reminders of the appointment, a warm greeting at the front desk, valuing my time by not having me wait to be cared for with a booking, and then, really importantly, giving enough time for the local anaesthetic to take effect before going to work... Went there for a cleaning after being a customer for over a year. Hygienist did not do the back of my upper teeth, which was the worst, I can feel the crud still. She wanted to measure my gums which I declined, so she demanded that I sign a waiver that I declined, not letting me read what I was signing, after I demanded to read it I refused to sign. Very friendly and helpful staff. Happened to be in Chemainus on vacation from out of province, and they took me in same-day for a sudden cracked tooth. Got the x-rays, examination, and filling all done in one appointment. Saved my vacatino. Thanks Dr. Arslan and team.
