I visited urgent care a couple of months ago and this practitioner needed to look at my throat. The otoscope battery was dead. She waited a few moments before giving up on the device powering up and decided to use the light on her cell phone instead. I should have protested but was honestly a little shocked to find myself in the situation. I think it's unprofessional to use the cell phone you take to the bathroom to look in a patient's mouth.
