Category: Southwestern Bistro. This hidden gem and locals haunt in the Mystic Motel next door to Jackalope was standing room only for live music on the Saturday night we were there. The restaurant is terrific, but this review belongs to the bar—and to Greg. He isn't just a bartender; he's a true mixologist with an encyclopedic knowledge of spirits and an intuitive talent for balancing flavors into cocktails that are both inventive and impeccably crafted. His classic margarita is, without question, the best in town, and his original creations consistently raise the bar. If you appreciate exceptional cocktails, this is the place to check out.
Cozy place to eat. Excellent drinks with a large menu. The food is good but the portions were smaller then expected. Everything was freshly made. The Caesar Salad was good. The chicken wings were tasty. They had a band the night we were there which added charm to the place.
The breakfast was excellent- different specials each day, fresh, flavorful, and unique with music and dinner silverware.. You could tell it was an inspired effort instead of a token meeting of requirement.
Wow! What a great, unexpected experience! Having lived here for many years, I've driven by this hip hotel so many times but never thought to explore the grounds or restaurant. The drinks are creative and refreshing. I liked my husband's drink with mezcal and jalapeno syrup best (spicy, smoky, and not too sweet.)
