The food was very good but what made this stand out to us was the interaction with our 4 year old granddaughter. We had literally walked out after paying and our waitress stopped us because she wanted (what I assume was) the manager to meet her and see her smile. The manager led her back into the restaurant and gave her a free donut which she loved. I love how they treated her which goes further than anything else in me recommending a restaurant.
OMG absolutely lived up to my expectations - I’ve wanted to come for years and now I can’t wait to come back. The fried chicken was absolute perfection and the grits were unlike any grits I’ve ever had (in the best way). I swapped the mashed potatoes for the broccoli and bacon slaw which was great. I haven’t been back in about a year and went today for lunch. Please change the croutons in the fried chicken salad back to the biscuit croutons. They made the salad stand out more and they taste so good in the salad. If I wanted plain croutons I could have eaten one at home. If it doesn’t need fixing, don’t fix it.
Great food and service. I highly recommend the braised beef sandwich.
This is our second time to Orlando, and we’ve been here 4 times, probably the best fried chicken you’re ever going to have outside your granny’s. Portions are HUGE, and the drinks stiff, so come with an appetite and designated driver!
