Also, you have to give them multiple checks to cover all the amount borrowed instead of just writing one. In other words, if you borrow $550..your finance charge is $99. You have to write them a 2 checks for $216 and 1 for $217. They say it is so they can at least get some of their money back if there isn't enough money in your account.
