I received great service from "James" at CHECK CITY. Always courteous, friendly and have many options for my financial needs. Money orders, check cashing services, western union, etc. I am very impressed with their level of customer relations. I wish I had utilized their services sooner. CHECK CITY outranks all the other local financial needs stores in town.
I brought two checks that I received from my gas company. The employee asked if I had a phone number for the company that sent the checks, to voice-verify the information. The company is located in Texas. If it's 6:30pm in Va, it's after business hours in Texas as well. Why waste my time? Unnecessary and bothersome.This is the second time I've been to this location, and the second time I've been met with sub-par service.
Wow do NOT sell your gold at these stores ! I took a 1/4 oz $10 American eagle gold coin to this store and one a mile away or so 100.00 difference between the two stores! Also Internet buy price was 445.00 I was offered 350.00 from one and this store offered 250.00 what a rip off! FYI go to Allgoods coin in StGeorge I called in for this coin they said today 445.00 !! Be careful for theses gold ripoff stores!!!
Check city has always been there for me when I needed help. Even when I couldn't pay off my loan, they worked with me to where I was able to make payments to pay back the loan and then said they would be able to loan out to me again. The clerks at the Rainbow location are the best. I know it's policy to greet every customer that comes in the store, but when they say "Welcome to Check City," I know they mean it. It was quick, convenient and much less painful that I ever thought it would be. I blew a tire, needed 185.00 to fix it. Paid 34.00 for the loan and paid it back in 2 weeks. easy peasy
Check City was quick and convenient, open later than I thought and the fees were much lower than I thought they would be. Sad it took being in a "bind" to go in and find out the facts. "banking" after 6pm, who would have thought
I love this location, they are fast and friendly.
