As you enter from a one-way street traveling East (Oak) you'll notice on 3 sides of the Central Library (W/E/S) theirs numerous benches to sit with a smoking area a level down from traffic with more sitting benches with shubbery on all sides. On the 2nd floor in a designated area food and beverages are allowed which I find unique along with plenty of charging stations for phones, laptops ect., and books, magazines and varies newspapers from across our country. I recently visited the Cesar Chavez Central Library. I asked to use one of the two private rooms designated for tutoring. I was given the go ahead as long as I would vacate when the someone came in for tutoring which is the rooms main purpose. I had no problem with that. And was asked only once to let someone use the room. I vacated immediately. Well now there is a time limit of only one hour. I use the room maybe a month per year to read online and watch movies, just BS stuf...Continue Reading
I love this Library! I remember going when I was young!
They need to update their website and post the actual times they are open. website said Open saturdays 10am-4pm. obviously they arent open today since i drove here and are closed.
