I was diagnosed w/stage 3 kidney disease, and was referred by my cardiologist, to Dr. Chavez. I told him I am a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator and cannot afford to be ill. We had a wonderful visit, during which he asked a lot of questions about my profession and he explained exactly what stage 3 entails. His departing words were: “You take care of the wildlife, and I will take care of you!” That reassurance lifted a huge weight from my shoulders. I have total confidence in him.
Please keep this in mind, the office will outright deny you if you are trying to transfer from Texas Tech. Office staff, after calling to schedule an appointment I had a referral for, stated that even though I'm not under coverage or care from Texas Tech anymore, I had once been was enough to deny the referral. Absolutely insane policy and incredible rude staff.
Very nice staff the doctor it's awesome. Takes his time with his patience and answer all the questions. I will not change for any other doctor. Thank you Dr. Chavez
