I'll start on a good note then get to reality. I almost never leave reviews but this one is warranted. Last weekend (9/19 - 9/21/2025) my boyfriend and I, as well as many family members, stayed at this hotel for 3 nights to attend a family wedding on site. The architecture and landscape is beautiful for a wedding. We saw deer as we were driving up the entrance street! The check-in process was shocking. I would not recommend this hotel if you’re looking for friendly service or a pleasant stay. The customer service was very disappointing. The front desk closed the restaurant 30 minutes before the posted hours because of a wedding, and when I called to see if the kitchen could still prepare something (well within their normal service time), the front desk lady was rude and dismissive. For just a few dollars over chain hotels, the Chauncey Hotel offers elegance, quiet, linen covered tables, delicious- many choices breakfast, salt water pool and just 5 miles from Princeton's history, restaurants (Teresa's) and Einstein legacy. Thank you, Nadine. Jocelyn and evening receptionist for being gracious and welcoming! 10 stars.
