Where to start...my partner and I did some research before coming to this hotel and I honestly thought it was going to be quite different. First impression, the staff were pleasant and the entrance was a little more outdated than we expected, but for the sake of celebrating my victories and wanting to have a nice weekend I did not give it much thought. I never even stayed here. I cancelled my room A WEEK in advance. They charged my account 300$. Go somewhere else.
Would be 5 stars if it was a $50 motel. Booked well in advance. Got no confirmation. Called weeks later to see if we could check in early, didn’t receive a call back. Booked strawberries and champagne to be in the room when we arrived, didn’t get that. Arrived to inattentive staff. Toilet ran all night, HVAC busted, so very uncomfortable sleep, and there was mold in the bathroom. Would not recommend.
This is a restaurant and bar review. With the very recent change in ownership, significant changes in the menus, food, and prices. Had a very nice dinner. The facility is very nice and comfortable. Staff wonderful. Will now be returning much more often than previously. And Hans is wonderful!!
We are frequent guests at Chateau Merrimack. Each time we visit we are warmly welcomed. We love the ambience and decor, plus its location is perfect for our family. During our most recent stay we were able to enjoy the results of the on site restaurant’s renovation. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails Hans created.
