We ate at the restaurant. It was good, nice dinner after picking blueberries at White Mountains.
The area was rustic and out of the way, so it's the perfect place to go for food if you've never been before or you're a returning customer going back for the good food and scenic drive.
Super friendly staff (perhaps the highlight) and superb classic American food. Excellent service highly recommend

Best quick summer trip for a good drive, short hike to the gold dredge and a delicious lunch at the lodge.
