I visited Chase Silver Spring on Friday, 10/15 around 9:05 a.m. and asked the receptionist how to open a bank account. Her first response was, “Are you a U.S. citizen?”—no greeting or explanation of the process. That’s NOT how you welcome customers. Chase should train staff on customer service and the fact that a U.S. citizen doesn’t need to show proof of citizenship just to ask a question. I left and opened my account at Capital One instead, where the service was far more professional. Chase do better!
The card reader is broken, unable to enter to use the ATM outside of business hours
Incompetent ,time wasting, egotistical and racist new manager Raki and her new teller. Take 2 minutes to answer each question, doesn’t even know how to count cash so gotta ask her co workers for help. Waste 45 minutes of everyone’s time. Couldn't even get my change when Ive been coming to this branch twice a month for 3 years, after I even showed my id and checkbook.
Branch located in the downtown Silver Spring. No parking on site, but the parking garage is less than 5 minutes walk across Wayne avenue. Scheduling an appointment is recommended. For the reference, opening 2 shared accounts took about 45 minutes from start to finish just bc of sheer amount of information & required signatures. Also, if you are planning to open new account/apply to credit/mortgage - please do you your home work (Chase has useful website) & bring required documents with you, IMHO.
