We were invited to experience a Persian New Year luncheon, by a friend and resident at Chartwell Lakeshore.  The food was delicious, with many added flavours and textures that we do not normally enjoy. The welcoming staff worked so well together as a team to present and describe the different servings.  This was very interesting and informative. The chef successfully prepared a full course luncheon that had us leaving fully satisfied and smiling. Jane and Gary Cassidy

I wanted to thank the Chartwell Westmount team for their ongoing support. A special acknowledgement for the Leadership team (Jackie). Nursing led by Toni and the kitchen team. I want to especially thank Lynn, Cara and Janet (nursing) for their ongoing commitment to support both of my parents as they continue to experience health related issues. Your commitment is certainly appreciated.

Mum just left Clair Hills after living there for 7 years and during that time she was very well looked after. Her room was spacious and bright with a balcony that she loved to use during the summer. The friendly staff and housekeeping were second to none., and when Mum needed medical care, you could always count on the compassionate medical team. Bottom Line: if you are considering moving to a retirement home in Kitchener-Waterloo, I would most definitely recommend Chartwell Clair Hills. Bob Ballantyne

The dining room staff at Churchill House make an amazing team! Rona, Sharon, Mertaza and Norya are all kind and helpful. They always make us feel welcome when we visit our mum and we enjoy the pleasant banter with them. On my birthday, they went out of their way to decorate the table, bring a special dessert with a candle, and sing happy birthday to our family party very special. They treat our mum like a good friend and are attentive to her needs. Thank you to the staff for making Churchill House a place where Mum is happy.

I moved my parents into Chartwell in 2018, and it was a huge mistake. Very soon, I realized that the company that runs this facility is only interested in profit and couldn't care less about their tenants. The whole building was infested with mice, due to the open parking garage and the garbage shoot system. Because the building wasn't secured properly, the mice were running under the apartment doors into private dwellings. I recently moved my mom to Chartwell Barton, and I’m so glad I chose this residence for her.  Theresa, was wonderful and helpful from day 1. She went over of her way to ensure the move and transition for my mom was seamless.  My mom is truly enjoying the atmosphere, and the kindness shown to her at  Chartwell Barton.  Thank you to all the staff, and especially to Theresa for assisting us every step of the way.

Unfortunately, my Mom’s memory has been deteriorating over the last year, and we needed someplace safe for her to live. The staff made the transition very easy, and they made every effort to get her comfortable. The staff are very good and are always trying to help her with any questions, as English is her second language.
