I feel very fortunate in choosing Chartwell Royal as my last port of call! My suite is roomy, airy and bright with high ceilings and an outlook on to a courtyard around which the house is built, with beautiful trees and a lovely garden. The staff form an excellent team and is always ready to help whatever and whenever the need. They seem constantly in touch with each other and their cheerful willingness is very encouraging. Hello, I was recently in to visit a dear friend and was absolutely delighted by the welcome I received when walking into this home. As I walked through the hallway to my friends doorway I was greeted by smiles the entirety of my walk. What a refreshing way to start my day. Lovely all 'round. Sincerely, Deborah.

Unfortunately this home is unable to accommodate residents with any form of dementia. Staff advised me that there is no significant training provided to them. Many of the Chartwell employees tried their best to service our parent and a number of them didn't. When looking at a parent with dementia to reside here it should be clearly stated the costs that can be expected. We were paying upwards of $8000.00 per month. Most care services are out sourced to Care Partners and there is a real disconnect of services being provided b... read more

My mum has lived at Chartwell Royal on Gordon since June. Despite reluctance to move into a senior’s residence, she is very happy in her townhouse. Living in the townhouse provides her with the independence and freedom she needs. Everyone who works here are happily engaged and engaging with the residents. Members of management and staff in every aspect of this residence care about their work and those they serve. Kindness and care are evident. We have great peace of mind with mum living here.
