We have found that Chartwell Queen's Square is always eager to become involved with many of the activities we do at the Preston Lawn Bowling Club. The latest was in mid-Sept, when they supplied lovely treats for all 64 participants in our Harvest Bowl that evening, Chartwell also sponsors a tournament that includes Novice bowlers in August and Queen's Square provides lovely desserts. We were happy to bring our indoor winter program down to Queen's Square for an afternoon.
Our group, A Record Day Combo, has been performing at Queen's Square for a lot of years now, and although we're only there for roughly two hours for each visit, the residents are always happy to see us. We make a point of not just performing, but mingling with the residents both before and after our performances. They always have positive comments about your/their facility, and we couldn't agree more. I organize events for a big band I play with and we had the opportunity to play at Chartwell Queens Square in June this year and had a wonderful time! The residents, staff and volunteers there were very welcoming and it was an absolute blast watching everyone dance to our music. We had a very enthusiastic crowd on the floor! The band is looking forward to playing there again in November. It looks like a fun place to live.
