Living here at Chartwell has been an great experience since all the residence are very friendly and the staff also are very helpful. There is always something to do and the restaurant always has interesting and tasty choices. I really look forward to going to have a meal as it’s always a good time and great company.
It’s with a heavy heart and sadness that I have to say goodbye to my home at Martha’s Landing. The residents and staff became like a family to me especially since before moving in I lost my husband with whom I was married 64 years. I wish my husband was able to experience the joy with me living at Martha’s Landing. Leaving to move to another province makes me feel like I’m leaving my family behind. I was recently brought in to host an event for Martha’s Landing Chartwell during their open house. The theme was Strawberry Social and I was asked to host a chocolate covered strawberry decorating workshop that tied perfectly with the theme! Upon arriving, I noticed how beautifully decorated the home was, how welcoming the staff were, and how warm the environment felt. When I first was looking at places to move into this was my first choice since my daughter in law’s mother used to live here. When I first arrived there was a staff member who went out of his way to make me feel extra welcome. He opened the door for me welcoming me into the home and got to know me on a personal level before I even made the choice to move in.
