My mother at age 80 in early stages of dementia could no longer manage at home. Her life at that time was chaotic and stressful. She had been in and out of the hospital and it look like at that point the remainder of her life would be spent either there or in a long-term care bed. Attended for a work visit & was greeted by the staff with tea & delicious pumpkin loaf! After the meeting, I was provided a tour of the facilities. I would highly recommend this location for anyone’s elderly loved ones! Special shout-out to the Hilldale kitchen staff who make delicious meals & desserts!!!!!

The staff at Chartwell-Hilldale are great. They make sure that residents feel at home. I sleep better, as a family member of a resident, knowing that my Mom is so well looked after by the staff, who really appear to love what they do. After only a few months of living at Chartwell-Hilldale, Mom now feels like it's home. She loves it here. I highly recommend Chartwell-Hilldale to anyone looking for a retirement residence.

- WHEN CHARTWELL TOOK OVER FROM THE HILLDALE GARDENS RETIREMENT HOME, MY FATHER ENJOYING THE BENNIFITS OF RETIREMENT HOME LIVING WELL I WAS CONSTRUCTIVLY KEPT OUT OF THUNDER BAY BY A PENSION HUNTING EX . THEY ABANDONED HIM AT THE NEW HOGARTH RIVERVIEW MANOR , WERE IT TOOK THE PATIENT OMBUDSMAN OF ONTARIO AND I TWO INVESTIGATIONS TO FINALLY FREE MY FATHER . $40,000.00 A YEAR . THEN GOOD BYE .
