I would like to say I came into Chartwell Grenadier as a respite client, as I just had a hip replacement and needed a safe place to stay. For sure I did not know what to expect, even though my parents had spent 4 years in a Chartwell in another town. Everything I needed to support my needs was available but of course everything has a price. The psw's my mother has are very good. She enjoys the food. One problem is that she has had a mouse in her room for months. That hasn't been dealt with to our satisfaction. Also, I feel the communications with admin staff could be better. I don't always get a call back or a follow up call.

We are a group of neighbours that live to the north side of the Grenadier. For years there has been an unacceptable noise issue coming from the ventilation system fan for the parking garage that sits on the terrace on the north side of the building. The sound is like a rusty hamster wheel constantly screeching and it makes it unbearable to sleep with your windows open. Sometimes the noise is so irritating it makes it unpleasant to be out in your yard. The admin at the Grenadier has never made it a permanent fix. The current ... read more

Chartwell Grenadier on Bloor street was the perfect place for my friend and her pet dog. Beautiful apartment on a corner unit overlooking Bloor and High Park. Bright and sunny unit has made all the difference. Lots of activities to choose from, outings, movies etc… plus the lunch and dinners never disappoint. I’m very impressed with staff and the friendly atmosphere is wonderful. I’d highly recommend Chartwell.
