My mother has been a resident of Chartwell Allandale Station in Barrie, Ontario for 5 years. The last 2 in the Assisted Living program. For individuals considering a retirement residence for themselves or family members, I would strongly recommend. Clean: On every visit to Allandale you will run into at least 1 cleaning team member, if not several. Always active in the common areas and private suites as required. Food: Three solid meals a day. Allandale Station is always a pleasure to work with. The residents are lovely, the staff are welcoming, and the environment is warm and caring. Highly recommend it as a wonderful place for seniors.

I recently had the pleasure of watching a story on the local news about a woman named Kyla swimming across Kempenfelt Bay to raise money for the seniors at Chartwell. It's rare in this day and age to watch something on the news that isn't doom and gloom. It was a really nice news segment that made my day. That kind of heart and determination, says so much about the kind of person she is and what kind of business Chartwell is.
