I have been a resident of Alexander Muir now for seven happy months . I have waited this long before giving a review to ensure that my original highly positive opinion was maintained which it has been. This is a fairly small, cozy & friendly retirement home with excellent community spirit which continues to maintain a very high level of service in all major areas and I would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking a "home away from home". As a Downsizer, I have visited many homes in the area and while every home is special, Alexander Muir is very special. It is a smaller home, with a warm friendly vibe. Staff and residents alike always smile and go above and beyond. It's a place where everyone knows your name! It is personal and welcoming for the moment you enter! The GM, Alex runs a tight ship, but all mates are onboard and happy!
We had the pleasure of a respite stay recently. The entire staff were friendly, personable and professional. We were always greeted at the front door by Steven, a true gentleman. There are plenty of activities through the day including ‘shopping visits’ at local grocery stores. Thank you!!

I've found the Staff is extremely happy and helpful. Location is great for me as I’m 5 minutes by car. Residence is clean and she has a lovely room. My mum will be 91 in June of this year and is not always easy to please but she has settled in nicely and after being here 3 plus years she is doing quite well. She loves the fact that she doesn't have to worry about food preparation and cleaning. She enjoys her table mates and the variety of entertainment provided.
