Hated charter. Centerstate is just as bad. Didn't know I had an active account overdrafted until it was charged off
HORRIBLE experience!!! I used Charter Bank for nearly 20 years & LOVED it. Only had an issue of identity theft once & it was handled quickly & efficiently & never happened again. The MOMENT Centerstate took over in came the rolling fees that continuously overdrafted my account. I went in to speak to a rep & they were ZERO help. I paid what I thought to be the negative balance based on what THEY told me & left my account open since I was expecting a deposit. Since changing to CenterState they started charging me a maintenance fee for not using my debit card at least 20 times a month I don't need to use it that much closing my account today never had any problems with charter for the past 15 years
Horrible excuse for a bank. My account still shows a pending transfer from one of my accounts to another one of my accounts over a week later. Took nearly a week to get money from a mobile deposit. If you transfer money after buisiness hours it takes days to clear. Too many problems to list and NO benefits to banking here.
Worst bank I've ever dealt with. If you have a direct deposit, they hold it for 4 to 5 days. Ridiculous. And they gave me a hard time when I tried to switch to Wells Fargo. Do yourself a favor. Bank somewhere else.
