Everything was perfect. We're from Minnesota and we will be back for sure!! Borg was very good and also had a good sense of humor!
View- sure, its fantastic Atmosphere- nice, comfortable, classy, tad noisy. Service- excellent. Food- good. $25 3 course meals ordered. Chicken- nice. Beef ribs- good. Coconut shrimp- probably got the best reviews. Mudpie- all but melted. Oh clam chowder... yes, very good. So all in all... The bar is the way to go- with happy hour. Go to the dining room once to say you have been there done that- then head for happy hour any other time. Same great view, nicer surroundings, good menu and prices.
This is a great restaurant for special occasions. The setting is beautiful. Make sure to save time for a stroll along the river after dinner!

Not good won't go back – I was looking forward to this for Mother's Day and I was disappointed for the amount of money we spent (for any amount of money for that matter!) The food was poor and the service was mediocre. First, the appetiser we ordered was Cocunut shrimp and the shrimp were puny, so I was disappointed with that. We just had our dental school reunion at the Chart House in Portland. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Ann (the catering manager) was great-she basically planned the event for me and selected the best menu option for our group of 52. The tab ended up being exactly what she promised and the service was exceptional. Always a pleasure – Never had a bad meal or bad service sans a bartender who thoyught I was kidding and making up my drink order of a slow gin fizz but he learned a new drink that night with humility. I always like the food and the service.
Best Waterfront Experience – Ambiance - Check Service - Check Food - Check Enjoyed a fantastic family celebration dinner. Was nervous because read some very negative reviews through MapQuest, but reservation was made. EVERYONE in our party of six was satisfied, from our view to appetizers, including Lobster Bisque, to entrees and finally, dessert. DO NOT allow negative reviews to dissuade you!
