Not the greatest, but... Not exactly a restaurant that most locals go to, as it is relatively expensive, especially for Daytona Beach, the food is quite good, but the service leaves much to be desired sometimes, depending on who you get as a waiter/waitress. The view is not great either, making many wish they could turn the restaurant around instead of giving onto the condos rather than the river. Atmosphere is ok, but not great either. Food is however, excellent!
I had my wedding and reception at Chart House about 3 weeks ago, and it was absolutely perfect! I dropped off all of my decorations with instructions the night before my wedding and the event manager did all the decorating for me. It was like having my own personal wedding planner for free! I had my ceremony on their deck at 11 am, went inside for our reception, and basically had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Fine Dining Daytona Beach Style The Chart House is an excellent dining experience overall if you are looking for a little more upscale seafood restaurant. On the water at the Daytona Beach Yacht Club, the atmosphere is very nice. The prices aren't too high for considering the service, quality food, and overall dining experience. I may have said seafood restaurant, but they do have a full menu, including excellent steaks.
Skip the Chart House – This "fine dining" establishment was a huge disappointment on my son's prom night. With 7:00pm reservations, their group was not seated until 8:00pm and service was VERY SLOW. My son, his date and their friends did not even have time to eat by the time the food finally arrived at 9:30!! -- they had to take their meals in to go containers or they would have completely missed the prom. For the price $$$, portions were disappointingly small. $42 for a meal that doesn't even come with a salad. Not worth it... read more
Always worth a stop – We make sure that this is one of the places we go when we visit. We enjoy dressing up a little occasionally and this is one of the few places where we don't feel out of place. The seafood is consistent and good. A little pricey but the ambiance makes it worthwhile.
Always a good choice! – The Chart House is fairly well known for it's business environment, seafood, and scenery. It is a great place for a birthday or any special occasion. It is a bit pricy, but the salad bar has an unusual and pleasing selection. The Chocolate Lava Cake is a treat not to be missed. The Halifax River location could use a bit of updating, it seems to have a 1980's feel to the decor.
