The view from this place is just awesome. It's so high up it's actually a little scary to drive up the twisty road to get there. The restaurant has a panoramic view of the ocean with bay windows all the way around. You can walk out onto the patio area and look over South OC and the ocean. Oh, yeah and the food isn't bad either. Great steak and really good wine selection. It's a little upscale and pricey but it's not a rip off. Just high quality food and a great location.
Great happy hour! Food was five stars. Price was great.
Sunday brunch is very reasonable and the food is quite good.
Very poor dinner Saturday night. Ordered fresh catch of Grouper and came out dry, barely warm and a tiny portion for $32.99. View nice.
My group has stayed at the Golden Nugget several times over the years. This time, October 2013, was the worst. Things just seemed to go wrong everywhere! Rooms all seemed dirty and worn down (even with "recent renovations"), broken locks and safes in the room, casino seemed understaffed on the floor because over 4 days on constant gambling at the slots some were NEVER approached about a beverage, and the little grill next to the sports bar took 30-40 mins to order and another 30-40 mins to get a pizza and 2 sandwiches!!!
Beautiful place great service. A salad bar to die for with even caviar on it. Just a wonderful dinning experience I would give them ten stars. Sincerely. Tom and Cathi Shearer
fantastic seafood and great service.
We had a reservation and were seated 30 minutes later....Stuffed flounder was ordinary at best...didn't even finish. Appetizer with crab and artichoke was excellent..should have just ordered two and passed on the entrees....We were seated by a serving station...and next to a group of people dressed in "hoodies"....When you pay $150 for dinner you don't want to feel like you're seated at the Double T Diner...This is not our first trip to this place...but could be our last
