Charmie was a God send when we needed her the most. My 7 y/o's hair became a full locked up dread hard as a brick. I called Charmie and she was able to get us in same day which was on a Sunday night and got the job done. I still don't know how she got it out, but she did. She did her best to reserve as much hair as possible without cutting it all and was very patient as my tender headed girl screamed her head off the entire time. Charmie was patient and kind to us. We will definitely be going back.

First of all, THANK YOU Charmie! Detailed review incoming: for years I’ve struggled to find someone that specializes both in natural hair care AND BRAIDS ! I’ve been just wearing my hair in braids, letting it grow out for a month, rinse and repeat. I went to Charmie Johnson for what was supposed to be a simple silk press before a holiday party, but it turned into an experience that left me deeply upset and disappointed. When I arrived, we discussed the service and I made it clear that I wasn't looking to get a trim. Despite this, during the consultation, Charmie suggested that a trim could complement the silk press.
