Updated review: Came back to Charm Thai and was a bit disappointed. The lomein was so bland, I had to add seasoning so I could somehow enjoy it. The yellow curry was good. I asked for medium spice, and there was not even a hint of spiciness. It’s an okay place if you don’t have many choices within the area. Owner is rude. The food is pretty mid, and most of the ingredients come frozen or bottled. There are definitely better spots out there. Larb and mango sticky rice are Lao.
Loved our visit here earlier tonight. We live in Boston and stopped by on the drive through. Food was incredible and the staff was very friendly. The decor was cute, music was lovely. The authenticity was confirmed by the chefs kid sleeping on the front counter. Chive cake apetizer and the coconut pudding dessert were both 10/10. We also got thai iced tea, singha beer, pad pik pow chicken, and khao soi - also amazing.
Cute place, food is decent and prices are reasonable. One of wiscasset's better offerings.
