After doing errands at Alderwood Mall, we wanted a meal nearby. Instead of going to our usuals, I did a quick search and found Charm Gai, a Thai restaurant within an easy walking distance. The restaurant is a reasonable size and nicely decorated, not fancy, not divey, either. Service was practical and simple; we didn’t need much help, ordering quickly so we can finish eating before closing time. Once again, Charm Gai does an outstanding job. This is my favorite Thai Restaurant in the Seattle area. The food and service are outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.
During the past two years, I've cut down on my patronage to every 9 months because the prices keep going up; with this said, the flavors and quality of the food has remained consistently-excellent over 7 years' time...this cannot be denied! Ordering from the hard copy menu in-store, I paid $17 for a plastic quart, 3/4 full, of curry chicken, $18 for container of yum woon sen salad, and $3 for a pint of white rice (no drink or desert) PLUS sales taxes of nearly 11% AND tip, a walked-in order for myself to-go. The servings fed me two hearty times, so that's good...and it should have given what I paid.
WOW! The menus' prices posted on its Google site are NOT up to date, the prices are more expensive than advertised. Two days ago I stopped in to treat myself to Thai food (haven't been here for 9 months - see below) for an early dinner to-go and paid $18 for a Yum Woon Sen salad, $17 for Chicken Curry, $3 for a pint of rice, then City/County "to go" sales taxes (Lynnwood has some of the highest city/county taxes in the area) AND the restaurant's request to leave a tip (!), totaling $43+ for TWO ENTREES plus expensive rice!! ... read more
