Extremely disappointing experience. My friend and I, both people of colour, were the only ones asked to show ID when we simply wanted to try on wedding rings. The sales associate, Zoey, claimed it was due to “theft issues,” but no other customers were asked. When we expressed how uncomfortable and racially targeted this felt, she was dismissive and passive. Completely unacceptable, Charm Diamond Centres do better. I’m writing this review with deep concern after hearing about the unacceptable experience my friend had at this location. She entered the store with the intention to make a purchase, excited to browse and invest in something special. Instead, she was met with treatment that was both discriminatory and deeply disheartening.
