Charlie’s is the best. I have a 2015 gmc canyon that was emitting a whining sound. I took it to Firestone complete auto care for diagnosis. They said it was excessive backlash in differential but they don’t work on them. Next I called a gmc dealer who asked for my vin, they then responded they couldn’t get parts for my specific vehicle. They did call me back later and offered a rebuilt differential for $6600 installed. I finally took it to Charlie’s, he said can I take it for a ride. Recently had my Ford Escape over at Charlie’s for a complete transmission rebuild. They were very helpful explaining exactly what they were going to do and what the costs would be- no hidden surprises. He quoted me about 2 weeks for disassembly, ordering parts, and rebuilding and had it done 2 days earlier than expected. The transmission shifts flawlessly. Couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend these guys!!
After the local dealership told me the noise I was hearing was the 6spd manual in my somewhat rare car needing replacement($6000) I took it to Charlie for a second opinion. Not only did he recommend not installing the Chinese axles I brought with me(because the OEM ones were in great shape) but he assured me the transmission was fine and discovered the control arm on the passenger side was bad. After they installed 2 new control arms, the car feels 100% again. Will definitely be back to Charlie's for any actual transmission ... read more
Excellent business! Let me bring my own parts. Did exactly what I wanted and quoted me estimate before hand and charges me exactly that! They worked on my wife’s Yukon Denali with the dreaded 8L90e 8 speed transmission shudder and the transmission flush worked! And it drives as smooth as butter now! Thank you guys so much for getting me into the schedule and saving me thousands like the gmc dealer wanted.
