Great Bar....Food...Crowd – Best Bar in Town....good food....service is great and friendly staff...bar people. Look for the special activities and become a "regular"....meet Mike Cole, owner. He makes everyone feel like a member of the Charlie's family. We we're regulars until we moved from Durham to the coast....have found only one place here (Morehead City) that comes close. We always make a point to visit Charlie's when we go back to Durham.
Have a beer skip the food – Good service prompt and attentive. Drinks came quickly. I ordered the Corned Beef Reuben, the waitress came back a few minutes later- out of corned beef, my second choice- the Buffalo chicken sandwich was disappointing, basically tasteless. My wife had the French Dip which featured stale bread, overcooked & Chewy roast beef and watery ajus. Service with a smile – Charlies is a must on my to do list when im in town. The food is great but the service is what keeps me coming back. The day-time bartender, Jennifer, makes the hour drive worth it. Not only do you get service with a smile, she makes you feel like a Charlies regular even if you have never been there before.
Charlies is great!!!!!!! – Charlie's is awesome. Great service and the food is exceptionally good. They always make you feel comfortable. The crowd is a mixture between students, professors, professional people and every type of local. Highly recommend it for a fun evening....
Best food, service, and entertainment around!!! – Awesome atmosphere!!! Great food and phenomenal service! Fully stocked bar with incredible bartender! Entertainment offered... Bands, DJ.... If you want great food and fun times then try Charlie's! I drive all the way from Burlington, and it is most definitely worth the drive!
Check it out! – great atmosphere- good food, especially the Chicken Wrap. Definitely the place to go on 9th Street
