I had my truck towed to this company on last week by AAA. Once they received the truck I called them to see if they looked at the truck and the gentle men told me it would be $85 to check the truck. I told them okay, go ahead with the service. The next day my husband called and they told me we had a bad battery (we had just purchased a new battery two days prior to getting the truck towed) and in order to do any type of service we would have to pay $800 dollar. After hearing them tell us we need to provide them with $800 to ... read more

I recently took two cars (Hondas) into Charlie's; one for an oil change and one for an oil change, new tires and problem with the car drifting left. They supposedly gave second car an "alignment" and replace some stabilizer part. Brought first car home and noticed the next day it was leaking oil. Took it to Centerville Service Center (CSC). Was told they forgot to put a washer back on. Second car shook and drifted more after I got it home. Took it the CSC. Was told that all my fluids needed changing, that I needed a total al... read more

i have got to chime in on this first to Pattie f in your post you said you called in cause of a flat tire in that circumstance if you have a spare the driver should put it on that's what its there for and second jbollinger sometimes when mechanics order parts for cars there is a lot of little thing that can factor in and sometimes it does take a while to get the right part it is not like they did not start on it for 2 days at least they were trying to get it done as fast as they could and as i read a little closer i realize ... read more

My Sprinter Van broke down just east of Dayton on September 1st of this year. It was towed to Charlie's #2 in Kettering. First of all they did fix the problem but I had to stay two nights in a hotel before the part came from Cincy. When I went to pick it up the mechanic informed me he had broken the key from the fob. I had to use vice grips and even then it was really hard to start. Well, I went home to North Carolina and ordered a new key and fob which was $365. I sent the bill to Charlies and they refused to pay it saying ... read more

Charlie's Marathon/Towing – Called AAA for a flat tire. The repairman, serviceman came out (late) from Charlies and when he arrived determined I did not need a tow, yelled why the hell did you call for a tow when you don't need one! He then insisted to put on the donut. Then proceeded to try to humiliate me and suggest I was lying to use a tow! I asked him if he was uncapable of towing as he insisted that I use the donut not knowing I had no transportation back to the house or any of my circumstances. This idiot was rude, ab... read more

Great AAA Service – I was unfortunate to have a dead battery during my lunch hour, but fortunate enough to have AAA. After contacting AAA a tech from Charlie's Marathon came out and he was extremely courteous, efficient, and helpful. I could not have asked for a better experience in getting my battery and alternator tested and then replaced in less than thirty minutes. Thanks to Charlie's Marathon for sending such a great tech out!

Don't go here for anything! – This service station is very poorly ran. I had them tow my wifes car for an issue that required a part. According to Dale, the part has come in wrong twice in two days. In the meantime, a family of four is down to one car, and who knows when the will actually get the right part. I called Dale to see what we could do about this and he said he would not do anything. I would have rather spent the extra money at a dealership and had my car back the next day.
