Place is a ripoff. Asked the owner about a certain watch. He said it was brand new, but saw some micro scratches on the surface and case. It was also marked up about 300% whereas from the manufacturer’s website they’re still selling it at retail. Also bought a watch strap from there. It was the worst quality and paid over $100 for it.
I've nothing but good things to say. I have taken many watches to them and they have always been very helpful and kind to me.
I highly recommend. I dropped off my vintage watch, which has not worked for 20+ yrs, finally got repaired w/new watch strap. I called to let them know I'm not able to pick up soon as leaving country for a short while. They offered for no additional charge to deliver my watch, I live hr+ away, he wanted me to be able to have my watch for my trip, how awesome is that. Thats what you call the ultimate customer service. So great to see my watch working again. Thank you so much.
Buyer Beware. My mom purchased a “diamond” ring for $2900. He promised to send a valuation for the ring when she bought it but never did. She wanted to sell back to them. Offered $400 for scrap gold. The diamonds in this ring apparently are junk and worthless. BUYER BEWARE
My pocket watch was due for routine maintenance, and after leaving it with Silverdale Jewelry and Coin, it was retrieved 4 months later damaged and inoperable. I took it to Charlie's in hopes of a more favorable outcome. Luciano told me that my watch is gold, and worth $6K-$7K. Neither statement is true. My gold-plated watch is worth a few hundred $.
