I gave the Christmas train a chance 2 years Both times were miserable experiences. My kids are well traveled and have been through many airport delays. This was way worse
7 Oct 24 at 0800 was the date listed for Polar Express tickets to go on sale. I have been constantly updating the website since 0730 with no luck. Now the website has crashed and no one is answering the phones.
Need to update your website hosting! Tried to get tickets for 90 minutes straight, website down the whole time and no phone support then magically everything is sold out! What a disappointment!!
If you choose to do this train ride, do it for the adventure and scenery. That part was awesome. The service from all of the various crew members was very good. The "prime rib" dinner? I'm pretty sure I saw the Nike swoosh on the bottom of my meat. It was way overcooked chuck roast, no way it was prime. The start of the "robbery" was cool, but it quickly degraded into an overly long bs session as the actors made their way through the train. Other notes... climate controlled? Nope. Friendly and accommodating staff. The ride was scenic. We saw a variety of wildlife and birds. It was somewhat difficult to see clearly. The windows on the train were smeared with fingerprints and buggers. The air conditioning in the climate controlled was poorly functional. The staff placed a box fan in the cabin. It was still quite warm and stuffy. The “prime rib” dinner was provided by the Wrangler Bar and Grill located in Grass Range Montana.
