I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. monks and Dr. Jeakle. I especially love having Dr. Monks as she is so absolutely supportive being a momma herself. She held me like a mother would when I got my spinal for my c section and nearly passed out. It made it so much less scary and I truly appreciate all she and Dr. Jeakle did to help me survive through my extremely rough run with pre eclampsia post birth (literally saved my life). The birthing center in Charlevoix is also absolutely fantastic!
This should have been a 5 star review, as I was urgently seen, treated well, and had many of my concerns addressed when I visited. This is a one star review because the doctor did not find the problem, and the pill he prescribed is now trying to kill me, so this office and now my other regular doctor in Grand Rapids confirmed that I need to go to the emergency room. I saw Doctor Monks and she was amazing. I had a terrible experience with another gynecologist and was very nervous, but the reception staff, nurse and Dr. Monks were all amazing. I’m 24 and have quite a few issues, I also do not want children ever. Doctor Monks was so respectful of my choice to not have children, and was very sensitive to the pain I have been enduring.
