I have been approved for my surgery! Dr. Jeakle was WONDERFUL! He really listened and was very knowledgeable. Kim (receptionist and surgery coordinator) was so funny and very personable. Dr. Jeakle was thoughtful and kind and very funny. He expressed his concerns and made sure I knew the risks of surgery and the recovery time. Very thorough and very friendly. This would be 5 stars if not for how I was treated by reception staff. Dr Monks is great but upon having negative side effects of my birth control, I had to get an appointment to talk to somebody about it. Unfortunately I had to reschedule due to my demanding work scheduled and the reception staff would not entertain seeing me earlier than two months and were quite rude to me about it when I tried to explain how I did not have the option to wait so long to be seen. I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. monks and Dr. Jeakle. I especially love having Dr. Monks as she is so absolutely supportive being a momma herself. She held me like a mother would when I got my spinal for my c section and nearly passed out. It made it so much less scary and I truly appreciate all she and Dr. Jeakle did to help me survive through my extremely rough run with pre eclampsia post birth (literally saved my life). The birthing center in Charlevoix is also absolutely fantastic!
This should have been a 5 star review, as I was urgently seen, treated well, and had many of my concerns addressed when I visited. This is a one star review because the doctor did not find the problem, and the pill he prescribed is now trying to kill me, so this office and now my other regular doctor in Grand Rapids confirmed that I need to go to the emergency room.
