Hospital has lots of walking to do to reach the office you are visiting. If you are impaired get a wheelchair.
Been with Dr. Patel since around 2022. I thought things would improve after the change to WVU/Thomas and some time went by, but nope! Dr. Patel is still a great provider, but I wish she would move to another practice. The inability for (most of) the front desk staff to be helpful is non existent. However, their ability to impede care, make decisions about treatment with ZERO qualifications, and intentionally prevent patients from contacting their providers is outstanding. WVU Medicine - Do better. While taking my mother to her cardiologist today I dropped her off at the door and then proceeded to park beside the building. Upon entry I saw a sign that said “patient parking only”. Awesome I thought my mom should be able to make it out to the car. Which she did. Yeah win for me, since we still had one more of the 3 appts today to get to, we headed out. My husband and I have been patients here for 6 years and will now be finding new providers elsewhere. Patel is our normal doctor. I called to reschedule an appointment, in which I couldn’t get in for another 3 months. So I asked for Suzy. They told me that I couldn’t switch providers?! Excuse me?? I was thinking of switching anyway because Patel doesn’t do paps, and I’d rather stay with the same provider for all services anyway. They didn’t care! They “voted” on not allowing their patients to choose their provider.
Dr. Patel is a good doctor with good bedside manner. Front desk staff are incompetent, rude, and vindictive. It’s a shame. Go somewhere else.
