Main door wasn't completely sealed allowing plenty of noise pollution to enter from the nearby highway. Shower rod was bent and sagging making the curtain constantly slide towards the middle making for a chilly shower. The door handle card reader broke our first day and our key cards no longer worked. We told front desk and they said maintenance would fix it while we were gone for the day. They did not. We love this this hotel and have stayed here 3 years in a row for a book festival. It has always been affordable and centrallly located to a lot of Charleston. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. However, it was unforadable this year due to a $100 increase. This was really unfortunate, and very dissappointing.
Lots of potential for this to be a great property. The setting is beautiful with a covered dock overlooking the creek and marsh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good for a typical "Continental" breakfast that included hot eggs, cheesy grits and sausage each morning. The coffee was great and available at all times in the lobby. This place is a dump. The rooms look nothing like the ones on the website. Look like they should charge by the hour. Paint chipping off the walls. Carpet is dirty and nasty. Chalking cracks and peeling in the bathroom. Dirt in the corners of the room. Faceplate for outlet broken and partly missing. Some outlets not working. Cracks and broken doors frame. Overall rooms are nasty. Do not stay there, keep going.
Stayed here while playing a tennis tournament at seabrook island. I picked this Inn because of the fishing pier on the property. Nice stay
