Been to Dr. Steinnetz for approximately 4 years now. He’s very informative, and takes time to address all my needs. Sad to see Prevea is closing and was on here googling to see if he was practicing in the Chippewa Valley area still, and decided to leave a review!
People on the extremes always post on reviews. I didn't have any extreme reaction, but found Dr. Steinmetz to provide thoughtful, compassionate and competent care. I am reticent to write this review because presently it's relatively easy to schedule with him. If word gets out that he's a great doctor, who knows?
TL; DR: know-it-all doctor and shady billing practices from Prevea. Was new in town and needed a new doctor to renew my prescriptions. When i booked the appointment I told them i’d be self pay and asked how much the visit would be, but they couldn’t quote me a price, said “it will depend on what’s done at the appointment.” i get there and show my doctor all my current prescriptions and dosages, with records from my pharmacy. The doctor was keen to prove he knew more than my previous doctor and argued over many of my dosages.... read more
Very frustrating/let down of an experience. We tried getting into Mayo first as a same day appointment for my husband and they were booked so we ended up here at Prevea for the first time. This doctor heard everything we were saying without listening at all and felt like he was interjecting any chance he could. The only test he wanted to run and couldn't recommend it enough was a covid test which we were refusing at first.
