Changed oil and filters of boats inboard engines. The old rubber gasket was not removed before the new filter was installed on the Port engine. When he cranked engine to check for any leakage, within 15 seconds oil sprayed oil everywhere in the engine compartment. He removed and cleaned the fitting, reinstalled filter. Nothing leaked when the restarted the engine. However from my observing position I could not see beneath the motor before he closed the engine compartment.
